Permanent jewelry is a custom-fit chain (bracelet, anklet, necklace, or hand chain) that is welded onto your body without a clasp, creating a seamless, wearable piece designed for everyday wear. The ends of your chain are precisely welded together using professional equipment.

Does it hurt to get permanent jewelry?
No! The welding process is quick and painless. A tiny weld “zap” connects the chain, but it never heats or touches your skin. ​

Do I need an appointment?
Appointments are recommended to guarantee time with a welder, but walk-ins are welcome whenever we have availability.

How much does it cost?
Chains at The Pink Pearl are priced per inch, typically between $10/inch and $77/inch depending on material and style.

What materials do you offer?
We carry high-quality options including 14k solid gold, 14k gold-filled, and 925 sterling silver chains.

Is permanent jewelry safe for everyday wear?
Yes! Your jewelry is made from durable metals and can be worn during daily activities including showers, travel, and general life without worry.

Can permanent jewelry be removed?
Absolutely — although it’s meant to stay on, if you need it removed (for medical reasons, an MRI, lifestyle change, etc.), it can be cut off safely with a nail clipper at the jump ring. Keep the chain and you can return to have it re-welded if desired.

What happens if the chain breaks?
Chains are designed to be strong but can break if snagged. If that happens, save the chain and bring it back — we’re happy to repair and re-weld it according to your warranty terms.

How long does permanent jewelry last?
With proper care, your piece can last for years and be worn every day. 14k solid gold and gold-filled options are especially long-lasting.

Can kids or teens get permanent jewelry?
Yes! Minors can get permanent jewelry with a parent or guardian present to consent.

 

Can I take it through airport security?
Yes — permanent jewelry is TSA-friendly and won’t cause issues at security checkpoints.

We provide a 1-year in-studio repair warranty on permanent jewelry pieces.
